I discovered Februllage last year in an internet rabbit hole. I loved it. In the depths of Midwest Winter, this is the creative project that seems to kick me back to life from the WInter SADs. What is Februllage?
Februllage is a collaboration between Edinburgh Collage Collective and the Scandinavian Collage Museum. This initiative invites collage artists to make a ‘collage a day’ throughout February using the OFFICAL WORD PROMPT CALENDAR – 2025.-Contemporary Collage Magazine
Here’s a few snapshots of what the (almost) daily collage practice has yielded.
The brighter pieces are part of a series I’ve been working on, inspired by or taken directly from the backyard food forest. Most of these pieces are made up of some combination of: botanical monoprints off of the gelliplate, linocut stamps, vintage book illustrations, mystery film negatives, and various ephemera.
The rest are just for funsies. It’s about the journey not the destination, amiright?
More to come,
Cheers xo
