Meet Your Teacher
Hi, I’m Meg. I’m a licensed teacher and working artist, and I’ve spent more than sixteen years teaching students one-on-one and in classrooms. In Learning Lab, kids learn by making: mathematics using creative direct instruction, reading built around what they love, and games, 3D models, and animations they design themselves. Every session is live on Google Meet and shaped around your learner.

How A Session Works
1. Start with a free fit call.
We meet for 20 minutes to talk about your learner’s goals, interests, and what’s been tricky. You’ll know right away if Learning Lab is a good match.
2. Get a plan built around your learner.
I map out where to start and what to work toward, using the things your student already cares about as the way in.
3. Learn live, one-on-one.
Sessions happen on Google Meet. Students work through ideas with me in real time, solving, reading, sketching, and building as we go.
4. Keep growing.
Each session builds on the last, and I adjust the plan as your learner gains confidence. You’ll get a short note after each session on what we covered and what’s next.
Programs and Pricing
All Learning Lab sessions are live and online, so your learner can join from anywhere. Every family starts with a free 30-minute fit call. We talk about your learner, interest areas, what’s working, and what isn’t. Then I recommend the program that fits.
1:1 Learning Lab Packages
Weekly online sessions built around your learner. They’re hands-on, arts and science-integrated, and tied to state standards. You get a short progress note after every session.

| Package | Sessions | Price |
| Learning Lab 12 (recommended) | 12 x 60 min | $780 |
| Learning Lab Short Sessions | 12 x 30 min | $420 |

Small Group Labs (Online)

Four to six learners meet live each week for a one hour session for eight weeks. Small groups mean every student gets the tailored academic attention that they deserve. Before the first session, families get a simple supply list of things most homes already have, or will use creative online learning tools.
Group Classes available upon request.
Specialty: Digital Making Studio
Game design, 3D modeling, and animation
For students who’d rather build, and test through play and experimentation with the Design Thinking process. Learners design characters, model objects in 3D, animate short scenes, and build playable games. We use free tools that run in a browser or install at no cost, so there’s nothing to buy. Every session ends with something they made and can share.

1:1 Digital Making
Weekly Sessions built around your learner’s own project, like a first game, a character they’ve been drawing, or a short animation. We plan it, build it, and finish it.
| Package | Sessions | Price |
| Digital Making 8 | 8 x 60 min | $760 |
| Digital Making 16 | 16 x 60 min | $1520 |
| Single Session | 1 x 60 min | $100 |
Small Group Studio (Online)
Four to six learners meet live each week for eight weeks. Each learner builds their own piece, and the group shares work and gives feedback like a real studio. The last session is a showcase where families are invited to watch.
Pick a track:
- Game Design Studio: Plan, build, and playtest a small game.
- 3D Making Studio: Model characters and objects, and prepare them for 3D printing.
- Digital Art Studio: Learn foundational techniques of digital art including drawing, painting, and animation.

FAQ
Are sessions online or in person?
All Learning Lab tutoring is live and online, so your learner can join from anywhere. My environmental arts and mixed media workshops are where we get together in person.
What ages and subjects do you teach?
K-12 and young adults. Math from the basics through Algebra 1, English/language arts, and STEAM, plus specialty tracks in game design, 3D modeling, and digital art and animation.
What happens on the free fit call?
In 20 minutes we talk about your learner, their interests, and what’s working and what isn’t. Then I recommend the program that fits. There’s no obligation to sign up.
Do you work with homeschool families?
Yes. I can teach alongside the curriculum you already use, or help you choose one through a Parent Curriculum Consult.
My child learns differently. Is this a good fit?
Often, yes. My sessions are structured, visual, and hands-on, and I have experience with advanced and twice-exceptional learners. We’ll talk through your learner’s needs on the fit call.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule?
Reschedule with 24 hours’ notice at no charge. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice count as used, but every package includes one emergency pass, because life with kids happens. If your learner hasn’t joined within 15 minutes, the session counts as used. Packages are valid for 4 months from the first session.
