In this studio vlog, I take you through my process of working on 2 monochrome collage pieces from start to finish. These pieces are in response to a call for entry for Special Agent Collage Collective out of Carnation, Washington.
What is The Special Agent Collage Collective?
“SACC was created in August 2021 to interact with other collage artists and enjoy the magic that can unfold from a few scraps a paper, a sharp blade, and a fresh glue stick. We participate in theme-based collage challenges, public art drops, and other interactive activities. A membership card and Special Agent number are earned by completing a mission. The collective enthusiastically welcomes new members. There are no official dues or submission fees, although HQ gratefully accepts contributions to cover postage and supplies. SACC’s roster includes longtime hobbyists, college students, authors, filmmakers, scientists, accomplished professional artists, and collage newcomers. The collective was founded by Andrea Lewicki, an artist and writer with a thing for pancakes.” -SACC Website
Here are the finished pieces! High resolution prints will be available in my shop soon!

Migration 1 is available for digital download in my shop <3

Although these collages feature primarily salvaged elements, most of my collages use a combination of printmaking techniques in gelliplate printing, and recently lino cut and block printing. I also combine hand drawing and mono print techniques with my stash of vintage ephemera and book illustrations that i have been collecting over the years.
This is an early adventure in exploring longer format content focused on my artistic process. I’m curious to see if you enjoyed it, and I’m more curious to hear about what you’re working on in your studio right now! Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments!
