Mixed Media w/ Meg: Not Your Average Collage Class

Mixed Media w/ Meg Classes have launched! I’m so excited to bring you a series of unique mixed media workshops in the Quad Cities Area!

Here are the essentials:

When: Wednesday, July 23, 6-7:30pm
Where: Radicle Effect Brewerks: 1340 31st St, College Hill West District, Rock Island, IL
Cost: $25

Class limit: 20

What makes this special: This isn’t your average make-and-take collage class! Join eco-artist Meg Hollister in learning to create mixed media collages in an interactive, collaborative environment. Participants will master 5 different collage techniques through hands-on demonstration and practice, then create their own unique piece with professional guidance.

You’ll leave with TWO collages—one co-created with the group during the learning phase, and one personal masterpiece.

This is workshop is movement involved! Create art with others, practice flexible thinking, and learn to bring your physical environment into your art via found object integration, relief tracing, and creative collaboration.

You get to take home: One collaborative collage, one self-created collage, and digital tutorial resources so you can continue making from home!

Each class comes no supplies required, with intentionally curated unique materials, and high quality archival supplies to create your art piece including:

– Handcut lino-cut stamps created specifically for this event
– Vintage Books and Illustrations
– Various ephemera, pressed botanicals, film strips, labels and doodads, and various paper types from Meg’s mixed media studio library
– Archival sealer to help your collage last the test of time
– Paint, ink, drawing supplies, and more!

Register today before class is capped!
