Arts Experiences
Studio 2 Makings designs and facilitates hands-on arts experiences for adults, community groups, and institutional partners across the Quad Cities and greater Midwest. With over a decade of experience in public, private, and independent educational settings, our programming lives at the intersection of ecological literacy, creative practice, and emerging technology.
Offerings include botanical printmaking, natural dye and pigment work, environmental data visualization, 3D design, mixed media collage, digital arts, and animation — available as single workshops, multi-session series, or grant-funded community programming. All experiences are designed to be accessible, process-focused, and grounded in the natural world.
Curriculum and Program Development
Studio 2 Makings partners with educators, nonprofits, museums, and institutions to design environmental arts curriculum and programming that bridges ecological science with creative practice. This work is built for organizations that have important scientific or community content and need a thoughtful, experienced hand to shape it into something people can actually engage with.
Past and current work includes grant-funded workshop series through Quad City Arts, ecological illustration commissioned by the National Wildlife Federation, and digital arts programming funded through the Illinois Project Next Generation grant.
If your organization is developing environmental education programming, a community engagement initiative, or a STEAM curriculum with an arts integration component — this is the work we do.
Speaking and Panels
Meghan brings a rare combination of artistic practice, ecological literacy, and educator credibility to speaking engagements, panels, and professional convenings. Her talks are grounded in real projects and real community impact — not abstract ideas about art and nature.
Possible topics include:
- The art of ecological translation — how visual art bridges scientific data and community understanding
- From data to awe — using environmental art to inspire curiosity, stewardship, and civic action
- AI as a creative multiplier — ethical, human-led workflows for artists and educators
