It’s officially Spooky Season! Meg with Studio 2 here, and we have a jam packed month incoming! We hit the full spectrum of all of the things we love this month: Community, Arts, Sustainable Practices. Let’s get into it.
MMM: Spooky Linoprint Stamp Carving Workshop
First things first. Have you Registered for MMM: Spooky Linocut Stamp Carving at The Artery yet? Tickets will be available until they aren’t, So get yours while they’re still around. I’m looking forward to a tactile co-creation experience while we learn and practice new printmaking techniques! And. You get to take home a bandana. What’s not to love? Don’t forget- you can bring something of your own to print on too! Why not try a tee or some old jeans?

Have you ever wanted to visit the Makerspace Lab down at Steam on Wheels? Join us for Boo & Build, a family-friendly event that features a make and take laser cut lantern activity, kids activities, and the chance to see the lab in action!
We just started growing food at the downtown Rock Island Makerspace location for future programming, check it out, It will soon be big enough to snack on!

We’ve been playing in the print studio, trying to capture the last of the fall season. Here’s a few snapshots of what’s come out of the studio recently:

While Studio 2 plans to rock out October, we plan on taking a little rest in November for some highly anticipated travel to Southeast Asia! We are excited to document the process, enjoy some time with loved ones, prepare for the holidays, and roll out some arts experience events to greet the new year.
