Blender Practice: Raindrop Visualization

For my 9 to 5, I teach Game Design. While I don’t focus on game design specifically, I do get the opportunity to practice and hone my 3d modelling, motion graphic, and digital art skills. This motion graphic was created in Blender, through a few tutorials, primarily this one. I’d like to extend th is video and turn it into a calming visualization with music in the future.

I love 5 Minutes Blender’s tutorials because they’re easily digestible and accessible. (They’re automated voice narration could go though, haha) They’re also short, and with 3d modelling tutorials usually taking me about 10x the time to complete, this is key. Check out their channel if you’re interested in learning 3d modelling! Blender is a huge, open source program.

I’ve been working with it in earnest for the past year, and still don’t even feel like I’ve scratched the surface.

Follow me on Youtube for more creative chaos. See you there!
