Particle Practice: Blender Water Simulation

I’ve been schooling up in Blender, a free, open-source 3d modelling program, for my 9-5 that teaches game design. While I don’t focus on game design alone, I get the chance to practice and hone my digital art skills every day.

This motion graphic was created in Blender, through a few tutorials, primarily this one.

I love Blender Made Easy’s tutorials because they’re easily digestible and accessible. They’re also short, and with 3d modelling tutorials usually taking me about 10x the time to complete, this is key. Check out his channel if you’re interested in learning 3d modelling! Blender is a huge, open source program. I’ve been working with it in earnest for the past year, and still don’t even feel like I’ve scratched the surface.

Feel free to use this for personal projects, wallpapers, and animated backgrounds. If you end up making something cool with it, share your work in the comments!
