The Adventures of Niagara Kitty! A Glimpse in Meg's Sketchbook

The inspiration for this drawing in my sketchbook morphed out of my visit to Niagara Falls, and my love for cats. As of late, this little companion has been following me throughout my sketches and doodles, and I am beginning to fall in love with him.

There really was a carnival on he other side of Niagara Falls. But alas, it was in Canada! And one of us was missing a passport, so I could only see it from afar!

Such a little guy in the middle of a waterfall! How will he make it out of there?

I really love drawing with tech pens, and with brush/ink. I’d like to try to refine this style over the summer, or, at the very least, just do it more often.

I feel like the summer is my time to have fun, to do what I want, and to abuse the pages of my sketchbook with copious amounts of…everything really (paint. ink. tacos. chinese food.). And with this trip in the back of my head, there is plenty of inspiration to get me going!

Coming soon: A meg and cat-accomplice themed business card. You want one.

Another glimpse another day…
